HELP! HELP picking an older Volvo!

You didnt mention price. That is a factor as well.
also, in the past, Ive chosen higher mileage cars over lower mileage, because the higher mileage car had been better cared for, and was in better condition.
All things being equal, Id go for the lower mileage.

I either, own, or maintain 3 240s and 1 740. All great cars. each have minus and plus. For me biggest minus for the 740 is the interior, namely the self distructing headliner, and door panels. For the 240 it would be the annoying lack of space for my right knee in the driver compartment.


I would say take stock of each car. What condition are they in? How do they fit you? What is the price? Have a volvo guru check you selection.

Also, you might want to shop some more. YOu may find examples of both cars with less mileage.
