Rats, update on power window braaap

I have a couple theories on this

1. some people always hold the up switch for several seconds after the window is all the way up, puts lots of stress on the entire assembly and the gear metal is soft to begin with. After 10 years of this abuse finally the teeth shear off
2. Someone tries to break into the car or otherwise pry down the window.
