fuel problem 140-160 1974

I had a similar problem with the k-jet conversion I did on my 122 and the d-jet on my 145 (stock). It (the 122) ran great for a few months, then it would loose all power after I accelerated off the line.
The 145 did the same thing and I knew right away it was a fuel pump since I had just stuck a spare in it after an emergency fuel pump swap at a vintage race. I could only get to about 2500-3000 rpm before it started choking.
The fuel pump didn't appear to be bad since it could put out the needed pressure, but it couldn't supply the flow. So after the inital pressure was used, it couldn't keep up with the fuel demand.
Hope this helps
