The joiks that frequent OPINIONS kept bugging me about not getting replies emailed. Sure enough, as rare as it is, they were right. When I fixed the bug, it triggered the email system to do what was technically correct: mail all replies that hadn't been mailed. This added up to thousands of emails. I just missed the problem until it was too late. Sorry to you and anyone else for the trouble.
