Crankcase Ventilation problem? 700 1988

My 740 GLE had 200K on it with no blow-by or oil leaks. 2K later, the rear main is leaking and I've got blow-by. I cleaned the manifold fitting, replaced the flame trap hoses and cleaned out the breather box, but I still fail the "jiggle" test. Smoke still comes out of the dipstick tube. Engine otherwise runs the same. Any ideas?
