I can't tell you too much about routine service costs because I try to do as much as possible myself.

Oil change-- use 15W40 (actually high detergent diesel oil)-- 6 quarts and a good filter with anti-backflow-- this means don't do JiffyLube if you like your car! Do it every 3000 miles (not 5K like the manual says!).

Coolant changes every 2 years or you may develop corrosion problems...

Cap, rotor, wires & plugs parts only-- $59, $20, $120 & $12-- yikes!

Valve adjustment-- 2 hrs labor (have to move A/C compressor).

All other things are a lot like the B230F...

As for the sound-- it really sounds different than a B230F when you get above 4000 rpm-- some have compared it to the BMW six!
