In the Clutch... 120-130 1967

Hello All:

1967 Volvo 122S Wagon. Strange behavior (behaviour for you Brits) when pulling out from a dead stop into first gear, particularly on 90-degree left-hand turns and/or on hills. Acceleration can best be described as "pulsing" but Wendy and I have modified our use of the clutch such that we have minimized the effect.

I checked the transmission fluid within the last six months or so and plan to do so again but this has been going on for a few months as is. I know so little about clutches beyond the basics. I never really had the chance to do any clutch work on the Formula Ford so any insights you can offer would help. Am I correct is suspecting the clutch, or could this be gearbox or transaxle related?

Thanks, as always, for helping this perpetual newbie.

Cheers,

Pooch
