My starter motor has just died but am interested in information as to what happened just before it did.
Started car okay and drove away, found that electric windows, radio, direction indicators etc did not work. Upon stopping some 10 miles later and switching off the engine, my prediction that it would not restart was proved true.
Appears to be the starter motor.
What I would like to know is why did the above electrical items not function?
Vehicle is 1991 940TD (225k miles on clock)on second starter motor at present.
