This past Sunday the small town of Glennville, CA. where my Dad lives had its big annual Rodeo. As part of the festivites, there was a parade on Sunday morning.
My younger brother Ted and I each entered a vehicle in the parade to help draw more people in. The Vintage/Antique cars are always a big hit. Ted has a vehicle called a 'Coot' - try a Websearch - that he has re-engineered and restored, and I entered Hot Stuff, my PV544. You can see a little of Ted's Coot (orange) behind my car.
If I can, I'll add a picture here. For some reason the system keeps rejecting my photos with "Need Vehicle Name/Title" error.

OK, apparently It worked this time. Cool!
Ted has been working on his Coot for several years, and just spent 3 weeks doing body and paint work just for this parade.
Anyway, we did the parade, threw out a lot of candy (left over from Halloween) and afterwards Tarona and I drove over to the local store for a couple of Deli sandwiches to eat for lunch. When we got back to the Rodeo Grounds, I found out that there was a judging for awards for the parade participants. No one had told me, so I missed it.
No big deal, we sat and ate lunch and visited with my Dad for a while, then left to drive home over Greenhorn Mountain.
After we got home, my Dad called and told me Ted was royally pis**d off; I had won 1st place for automobiles in the parade, and I wasn't even there to get judged! Ted got an award too, but I didn't find out how well he placed. Considering the quality of the competition, I would have thought we'd placed towards the bottom, not #1!
Anyway, Dad says I have a big trophy and a 1st Place Blue Ribbon waiting for me at his house when I find time to get over to see him again.
I hope this bodes well for our trip to Las Vegas tomorrow!
