Kienzle clock fuse replacement

Does anyone know how to replace the fuse in a Kienzle clock from a '73 144? The clock rewinds properly when I apply current directly to the points, but the connection between the points and the actual electrical connection on the back of the clock is compromised. It appears there should be a fine-wire type fuse, but it is missing. Can anyone help? Pictures?
The label on the rear plastic housing of the clock says 'solder thermo-fuse only with special solder (fusing point 120 C)'. Is the fuse a wire type, or just a glob of low temp solder?
