Possible to rebuild a 240 odometer? 200 1983

I have an '83 240 with a mechanical speedometer. The odometer gets stuck on the 9s. Usually, it'll make it pass 9 tenths, and perhaps a few miles further, but it is almost guaranteed now to stick at 9 miles and 9 tenths.

Just wondering if this is something that an average guy can repair?
