760 Turbo - engine wiring loom position 700 1989

The car is 1989 760 Turbo 230ET engine UK, owned it from new.
Made bad mistake of having reconditioned engine fitted by
terrible engine shop.
Mostly repaired the damage now, one item I am not sure about.
The main engine wiring loom is supposed to run behind the engine
and under the inlet manifold.
At the moment it runs over the top of the engine diagonally across.

Will this cause problems?
How easy would it be to re-route it to the correct position?
Can it just be disconnected at the multi at the rear of the engine
bay and threaded through somehow and reconnected?

Also is there anywhere I can get some really good pictures of the engine
compartment of an identical car? The whole thing is a bit of a mess
and I want to see what it is supposed to look like to identify what else needs doing. Pictures showing things like earth straps as well.
