First fix-it job today--Thanks 200

Just wanted to say 'thanks' to all the Brickboarders who take the time to post helpful information here. Thanks to several previous posts and the archives I've just successfully disassembled, cleaned and reassembled the window switches in my '93 245. This was my first repair job (of many to come) and IT WORKED. It was a small victory but pretty darn satisfying all the same. For about 8 years I've taken my 240's to a reliable mechanic here in town and done none of the work myself. Due to a recent seperation with my wife I can't afford $85/hr anymore at the local independent Volvo shop so I've set out to become a specialist on my own personal 240. I just bought a 1993 model with 124,000 miles so hopefully I will be able to do all the maintenence and some bigger things little by little as they crop up. Anyway, I will be around here regularly for the foreseeable future and I expect I will benefit greatly from the combined experience of all the Brickboarders who have lent a hand at one time or another. In fact, I already have.

-Chris
