240 fuel delivery problem 200 1988

Hello everyone, Had some trouble today my faithful 240 left me sit 5 miles from home. Beautiful 65 degree day so not so bad anyway engine did some sputtering for a short while and then cut out altogether. checked AMM unplugged no go checked 25 A fuse by coil looked ok wire connections to coil and dis. looked good too had some spare fuses on board so I tried turning then replacing fuse 4 and 6. also could not hear fuel pumps run when I was tinkering with the fuses. plenty of cranking power and it did start but cut out almost instantly. I suspect fuel pump relay if that is the case where is it located on an 88 240 sedan and is it a tough job to do I may be able to get one if my junkyard guy is home. Would a bad FPR prevent the pumps from running? Thanks you folks have all taught me a lot DK
