87 NA with about 230k miles. The oil light pressure light remains on after starting up, comes on after about a minute. The wiring harness is fine, and the oil cap shows less oil than normal when idling. I am sure the pump is toast. What really sucks is that I had a cylinder head over haul done about 30k miles ago (over heated and blew head gasket), and have been running syn oil since. The motor was in good condition.
The only thing is that I used a fran oil filter for my recent oil change (about 1 week ago) and suspect it's failed and caused filter material to build up on the oil pick up. Otherwise I am really bumped out that I did not change the oil pump when I had the engine apart about 3 years ago.
Should I just toast this engine, drive it like this. I do have another donar b230 motor.
