after finally curing a stalling problem (hall sensor)

now find that the transmission is slipping quite bad

slow to shift up a gear, and then will start to lose hold so to speak, until you back off the throttle a bit.

previous owner did a power flush. don't know if he knew there was a problem.

anyway, wonder if maybe a new trans filter, and another flush might help.

what are the symptoms of a bad torque converter?

last question. how difficult is it to take a used tranny, and put it in.

for someone who has never attempted this. any special tools needed?

something that can be done while car is up on common ramps?

car isn't worth over a grand even when running well, so don't want to throw too much into it.
