Well, now that Sally runs I need to address all those "cosmetic" issues.
First is the unsettling desire for the hood to come open at speed. I can adjust the striker and latch plate and all that but the hinges are holding the rear of the hood open about 1/2" Part of the issue is worn out pivot pins, one of which has been replaced by an itty bitty bolt and is "wicky-wicky" at best and will be repaired. But that won't "take up" all the slack.
I gander at these things and I do not see much vertical adjustment available. Am I mistaken? Is there a proceedure other than loosening and trying to get better? Perhaps I should just take it to a body shop, as I am a mechanic, not an artist (nods and bows to those who can work magic with hammer and dolly).
