I have a 1992 Volvo 740 wagon with an auto transmission with 210000 miles on the odameter. It seems like the overdrive is not working at all on it. I switched out the overdrive selanoid and fuse to see if that was it and my overdrive still didn't work. Then my crankshaft sensor wire went bad and i started to think that was it, because i wiggled the wire around then drove my car and my overdrive would work until i stopped my car, then i would have to do it all over agian. I then got my crankshaft sensor/and wire replaced. I haven't been able to get my overdrive to kick in ever since. When iam driven 40mph, my engine is doing 3000 rpm. By the time iam doing highway speeds my engine is going 4500+ rpm. Do you think it's my tranny or is it my wiring harness?
PLEASE HELP SAVE THIS WONDERFULL 740!
