Hi Everyone,
Several months ago I bought a very nice upper dashboard for a P1800/1800S to put in my car. I'm now selling it because I no longer need it. I was almost ready to install it in my car when I came across another one that's in near mint condition so I bought it too. :)
It's almost perfect but not quite. There's one small tear in the vinyl right in close and in behind where the dash mounted rear view mirror mounts to it. The tear is kind of Y shaped and is no more that 0.5" in length along it's longest axis. All of the vinyl is there so it can be easily repaired back to where you could hardly see it with a vinyl repair kit. Even if you didn't do a very good job of repairing it that spot would still be very hard to notice because it's pretty much hidden in behind the base of the rear view mirror. The spot is more to the driver's side of the base so the person sitting on the passenger side would never be able to see it.
Other than that one little boo-boo it's in tip-top condition. The vinyl is very supple and in very nice shape. There are no other cracks or tears in it and overall the dash looks like it hasn't seen that much action. I think the previous owner bought it for a resto project which never got done and it sat i a box for 15 or 20 years until he finally sold it to me.
It could be used on any 1800 but it wouldn't exactly be ideal for a later car that has the high mounted rear-view mirror because it has the three holes and a triangular shaped depression in the center where the dash mirror was mounted to it.
I'm asking $190 USD OBO for it.
I have some pics I can send to anyone who's interested. Please e-mail me at rojSPAM_OUT@telus.net ( *** Remove the SPAM_OUT part to e-Mail me ***) to let me know if you're interested.
I looked into the shipping costs and I think I can get them down to about $37 USD for shipping to the USA (I'm in Canada) by going to a more compact box than I was originally intending to send it in. To ship it in the box I have for it now would be $43 USD to the US. For shipping to Canada it would depend on where you live. Give me your postal code if you'd like to know what the shipping cost will be.
Thanks,
Roj
