For the second time, I am experiencing problems with one of the OEM voltmeters. One day, it began spiking against the high end of the gauge. Checking with a DVM confirmed normal voltage. Sometimes tapping the gauge glass would snap it back in line, but it inevitably got worse, to the point that it just spikes on startup and stays there until shutdown.
The input voltage and ground are confirmed good, so it must be something internal. I've fixed many a small clock, so opening these little guys does not bother me. Has anyone experienced this problem and found a fix?
