While trying to set my base idle, I couldn't get the logic probe to light no matter how much I adjusted the screw. But, when I use a volt meter on the AMM while adjusting the screw I can see a voltage flucuation between 0 and 3 volts. And if I use a volt meter on the CO test point I get a constant 13 volts -
Questions -
1)Is this something to be concerned about???
2)Is there a reference voltage that I want the AMM to be set at???
__________________ I've been having intermittant problems (since November)with
*Flooding when starts
*Idle Surge
*Loss of power under load
*Chokes, sputters (as if it will stall) and backfires
*Runs rich
_________________________I've already done -
*Cleaned throttle body
*" " Flame trap
*Checked all grounds (cleaned and re soldered)
*New cap, rotor, wires, plugs, coil
*New fuel filter and pressure regulator
*Did a fuel pressure check (fine) and Tested the injectors each dropped 1 lb per 100 cycles
*checked timimg, compression, and tested AMM (and swapped it out with two others)
*Tested O2 sensor with a scope
*Replaced vaccum lines, and tested for vaccum leaks with a smoke machine
*Tested computer (per all data info) temp. sensor is functioning, injectors passed and no shorts found
It's at a point now where it runs but there is still an intermittant throttle hesitation, I can pull out fine then cruising along at 30-40 if I give it more gas nothing happens, try again, nothing, then finally will it take off. It's not like it's not shifting, more that the engine doesn't rev.
So, if anyone out there has suggestions I am so open. Thanks in advance for any help,
