89 245 rear speakers 200 1989

I got my hands on a pair of 6.5" clarions that i want to install as a rear set of speakers in my 245. my problem is what/where is the best place to mount these? originally, my car has no rear speakers, just the 2 in the front :( i was thinking about making a set of boxes for these but a friend told me i would be better off mounting them into the walls of the car. any ideas or past experience with this would be helpful.
