John & Art,
You had posts last September/October time frame about fixing leaking windshields using a 3M product.
I have a dripping leak which results in damp carpet on passenger side, not good for the rainy climate of Seattle!!!
I have the exterior metal trim on an 88 wagon, hard to get at the leak with dash in place, I can see where the water comes in.
How does the exterior trim come off, and can it be put back on? Or is it even necessary to remove?
Mt local auto parts store told me the 3M product he has works with a removed windshield: 3M product squirted on glass edge prior to putting the seal around it. Is this the same product? If so can I use it with the windshiled installed and just try to squirt it in there?
Thanks, this is one of the last little fix-up projects I'm trying to finish before the start of a busy new year.
Happy New Year to all bricksters!
Thanks,
Mike
