i went to the bone yard today picked up a couple of ignition modules /
both are older than my 88, but i decided to try them first, both work
well, but i could not get my original icu/icm to work, decided to
disconnect the battery to see if a computer reset was in order in order
to work, still nothing, why would my original moduel quit???? really
pissed at myself knowing the 88 is supposed to be the best and that i
may have destroyed it.

any idea what may be going on?

p.s. made sure ignition was off during changeouts

part that was in my 88 = 1537308 / part thats in it now 3517641 / the
other one i bought is 1346107 out of an 87

was thinking of pulling the covers off to chk the connectors solder
joints to the p.c. board.

with the original module it just cranks no fire

mike

It is my policy to allow my email address in my profile, there are some things that should go that route.

As to technical questions, however, I prefer that the questions come on the Brickboard. That way others having a similar situation can learn, and others with more and better knowledge and writing ability than I can render assistance. Sending direct to me does not get a faster answer. I'm slow everywhere.
