Good news, source of coolant leak found, Bad news is........ 900

I have been trying to find the coolant leak on my '96 965 which has dumped about 1 pint a week for the last several months. I could always see a few drops hanging off the suspension brace that runs across at the back of the engine but couldn't see where it was exiting the engine dispite mirrors, feeling for wetness etc.

I finally took it to the dealer who found the leak between the head and block at the back of the engine after leaving the system pressurized for about an hour.

So I'm now going to do a "head job" on my car to replace the head gasket.

I have the tools for aligning the crank/cams and plan to buy the cam seal installation tools for the back. Can anyone tell me if the front cam seals can be installed with "normal" tools?

This will be the time to install those high lift cams from a 204HP engine that I acquired several years ago! This cloud has at least one "silver" lining as the saying goes.
