I've been watching for a tach for the old beast. I was using an old-in-my-garage-for-15-years aftermarket tach mounted to the left of the instrument nacelle, but I fried it when I installed my Mallory electronic ignition.
I didn't want another one on the dash, and had seen some tach/clock combo units, but they were higher than I wanted to go. Then I saw this one that came with the trim piece, so I went for it. It will go right under my voltmeter in the dash to the right of the instrument nacelle.
Then I can rev the thing without fear. Should I be revving this 285K B21 that much? We'll see.
