Hi, following up on my question regarding coil #4 on my 92 960...
I swapped coil #4 for coil #2 and #1 (different power stages) and cylinder #4 was still not getting any spark.
I took the coil connector off, and found that even though I have ~14V at the positive terminal, the ground is not working.
I tested the +14V with probe to the positive terminal and multimeter grounded to the head. When I grounded the multimeter to the negative terminal for the same coil, I get basically no voltage.
I jumpered the coil wire ground (Green/red) to the ground off cylinder #2. Didn't make a difference. I'm going to try and ground it off #1 now... cross my fingers.
Does anyone know how I can ground the #4 coil?? Could I just ground it to the engine??
Thanks!!
If you're really adventurous and know of a method to fix this, please call me at 765-409-4898!! Thanks!!!!!
