Storing an engine - how? 200

I am busy breaking an '86 240GLT (Euro, meaning B230E engine, no turbo). With two 240s on the road, I intend to store the 115K miles engine as a spare. Could be I need it next year, could be never. Question is, what is the best way to store it? I have thought of a few points myself:

- Do an oil change.
- Run the engine, and spray an oil mist into the air filter box until it stops (same way as I winterize my outboard and lawn mower).
- Remove the plugs and spray an oil mist into the plug holes. Run the motor on the starter for a couple of seconds.
- When out of the car, block all holes with oily rags.

What else? How do I prevent rust in the cooling passages?
I have purchased this stand for it, BTW:

I will also keep the AW-70 transmission. Do I just plug the holes for the oil lines and that is it?

Erling.

PS: Look at me – three years ago I started with two empty hands. Now I've got 2½ old Volvos on my yard. It's a disease, right?
