After fixing plugged Catalytic, I cant make my car run/start reliably.. 900 1991

I had a plugged Cat a month ago in NYC and stumbled home some 300 miles and reolaced the Cat.
Now I cant get the car to start/run reliably. I can make it run in limp home mode around the block, thats it.
I replaced the Air Mass sensor with a used one I bought on Ebay--theres a 50 % chance its no good.
I've seen codes 2-3-2 (uncalibrated intake) and 1-2-1 (air mass sensor) but some of them may be things I've done from troubleshooting, like disconnect the air mass sensor.
The car does start w/o the air mass sensor being dis connected but it wont take any load. Yesterday with the new Ebay air mass sensor, I sucessfully made it around the block in Limp Home Mode.
I feel like an A___ and an idiot. I've been working on cars for 20 years.
Granted I may have bought a bad air mass sensor, but before I installed the one I got on Ebay for $40, i could only make the car start by disconnecting the air mass sensor. Yesterday after I put in the Ebay air mass sensor, it went around the block.
The car wont show anything on the "TURBO BOOST " meter, no matter how much I put on the gas. Everytime it got near Boost, I hear that popcorn fa_ting sound coming from the exhaust....
