Hi guys,
above you see what I see almost every day after normal driving, the needle won't get any higher. First I suspected the gauge and compensation board, but then I opened engine compartment and felt almost no heat coming from engine (B230F).
After 5 minutes with engine off (ambient temperature was about 5C / 40F) I was able to put my finger onto cylinder head and hold it about a second. Some months before the gauge needle was almost 9 o'clock and engine was hot as iron so I couldn't even think about possibility of touching cylinder head with bare hands.
The car itself has no driveability problems but bad fuel mileage and uneven rattle at idle. I suspect o2 sensor being dead for some years already, sometimes I get it's error code, sometimes not. Somehow it didn't cause engine temperature problems earlier. Generally I'm not planning to install a new one until it's highly needed because of financial reasons.
Can anybody explain me why my engine is so cold and give some advice how to repair it? Fuel mixture?
Thanks.
