OK, so after hours of stressing, testing, and reading posts here, I figured that my high idle and really rich running (making it not start sometimes) was due to something associated with the engine temp sensor. It turned out to be wiring. Even though the wires looked good where I could see them, something was bad (I'm guessing the ground connection was bad). Anyways, I cut the harness and spliced in a new ground and a new wire to the ecu, and whaala! It revved right up and idled like a champ....well, like a K-cammed champ. So I know that means my wiring harness is dying, which is bad, but at least the car runs again. I'm again endebted to those of you who've helped me out. thanks again and I'll keep trying to pass on my knowledge to even things out. tata!
