I'm wondering what everyone here dislikes about thier car. The reason I'm wondering is because I think I might be starting to get tired of my 940 and I'm wondering if my concerns are common, or if I'm just being whiney. Here's my list.
-Gas pedal and brake pedal require too much effort. Granted this may be
a problem with my car in particular, but after a good amount of driving, my knee and the bottom of my foot hurts.
-Engine is noisy and vibrates a lot. A (back then) $30k luxury car's engine shouldnt be audible when going 70mph on the highway. Period.
-There's nowhere to put your left arm. The door panel is a bit too far away and the armrest portion is too short and hard to rest your arm comfortably on there.
-Gas mileage. 18mpg average mostly highway. ugh...
-No passing power on highway. Even running 12psi of boost it can barely get out of it's own way on the highway.
-Numb wandering steering (again, possibly a problem with my car)
-Dosent absorb bumps the way I think it should. Too harsh.
Now it seems most of my complaints are about refinement and NVH. Dont get me wrong I do LOVE my brick as it's been very good to me and very reliable. It just feels like an old car on an old platform. I'm really, really eyeing something like a 2001 V70 T5, but that really wouldnt be a prudent purchase right now. How do you long time RWD brick lovers get through the tough times?
