1984 lh temp sensor 200 1984

When testing for voltage at the blue wire on the passenger side wire bundle for the lh temperature sensor I get o.ooo volts. I suspected a poor ground, but went ahead and replaced the sensor unit. Same result. I need help as to the next step. How do I test for the voltage source and how do I test for ground? Any hints for easier access to the wiring connector at the sensor?
