83 245 melted fuel pump relay 200 1983

I have recently had problems with my 83 245 running rough and sometimes just flat out cutting off while driving. Recently, it would not start at all. After looking around the car, I discovered that the fuel pump relay was destroyed. It had actually somewhat melted and the connector for it was also like this. So, I susupect there is a short somewhere. From what I can tell, it looks like the yellow wire from the relay was effected more than the others.

Has anyone had this problem before? Any points in direction would be greatly helpful.

I recently replaced the engine wire harness, if that helps any.
