I found a TSB, I think it's 25709.
It says " idling vibrations on 740/940 series (before 1992) cana be alleviated by installing a bracket between the rear of the gearbox and the exhaust pipe."
It then goes on to describe the parts and the method of repair.
Has anyone tried this or something similer? I get a hell of a rattle when my idle drops below 750 in gear. Do you think this would fix it? Basically it's a bracket that bolts in behind the transmission mount and clamps onto the exhaust.
What do you think?
