intermittent fuel pump problems

To me this sounds like the fuel pump relay but I wanted to make sure there wasn't anything I was overlooking.

I have been plagued with intermittent no start. I have deduced that I get the no start when I can't hear the fuel pump engage. Sometimes the car will start fine however it dies immediately after start up.
