M46 manual tranny issues 200 1986

Hi Bricksters,

Recently, I've noticed some funny things go on with my tranny (M46 - 4 spd+OD):

1. At lower speeds and RPM, tranny pops out of 2nd gear.
2. 3rd and 4th gear "grumble" at lower speeds and RPM - feels like it's slipping.
3. OD used to be much more intermittent - much better after topping off tranny fluid (engages ~90% vs. 70%).


Any ideas on what might be going on? Thanks in advance!
