Different Starting problem with B20E 140-160

Hi guys, my 71 142E has developed a problem starting. The problem is that power is not reaching the solenoid. If the car is cold, it usually cranks right up. If the car is hot and I turn it off, sometimes it will not start. Then, in order to start the thing, I have to open the hood and short across the main battery cable to the power lead on the solenoid.
When I put a meter on the small power lead on the solenoid, power is not always there when I crank the car. It is intermittent.
Is there another relay or possible connection that goes from the keyswitch to send power to the solenoid? Where would you guys look first?

Thanks,
jeremy
