A/C leak through the service port valve. 900

Thank you all for your responses for my previous post.

After I recharged my system the a/c started to work. It took 24 oz (2 bottles) of Freon and the pressure on the low side is 35 psi. The only thing that bothers me is the A/C Compressor Magnetic Clutch. It is always engaged.
Is it normal? Did I overfill the system?

Also, I think I found a slow leak in my system. It leaks through the service port valve. I looked for a special tool to tighten it up in AutoZone and other stores but wasn't able to find it. My local mechanic said that usually tightening up the valve will not stop the leak.
Any ideas?
