A while back I posted a question about why my 240 may be getting hot with the air conditioning on in stop-n-go traffic. I think ive narrowed it down to the fan clutch. The radiator appears to be in good shape, no leaks, no dents or bends in the fins at all. The overflow bottle and pressure cap appear to be in working order. Also, the water pump only has about 17k on it and the thermostat is brand new. The reason I think its the fan clutch is because when I spin it with my hand it spins completely around about 2 times before coming to a stop. Shouldnt it come to a stop pretty quickly? Mine just seems like it spins way to freely. I just wanted someone elses opinion.
Also, while im at it. Im getting what sounds like a squeaky belt noise from the front of the engine. The problem is, the belts are relatively new "VOLVO" brand belts. And no amount of adjusting seems to help. This only happens for the first 5-10 minutes, then once its warmed up it fades away. Any advice as always is hugely appreciated.
Thanks, Matt
