1992 960 cylinder problem 900 1992

My 960 (150K) began to idle roughly and accerlated with a heavy vibration. I changed the plugs first, same performance. After some resaerch, I isolated the problem to the 2nd cylinder which was recieving nothing to the coil. I swapped the coil with cylinder #1 and the coil is fine. Because this model has no distributor or spark plug wires, how can I check to see if my #2 problem is elecrtical or mechanical?
I have been losing small amounts of coolant over the past year, but have read about a pourus effect that happens with this aluminum block. Could a single cylinder go out suddenly because of this? Could someone please list some possible troubleshooting tips to check, short of this being a faulty cylinder.
1. intake valve leak on that cylinder?
2. fuel injector failure on that cylinder?
3. wiring to that coil?
Any help would be great in that I just replaced the A/C in this car and do not want to begin a money pit. thanks
