Lately when the car (1982 244DL) has been running about 1/2hr, the voltage gauge will start twitching downwards, then drop to what looks like about 12v. At this point, the oil pressure light comes on(?!), even though the analog oil pressure gauge still shows 3bars+.
The alternator used to have overvoltage problems until I changed the regulator and brushes about 2 years ago.
Anyone else run into this strangeness before? I was going to start checking alternator grounds and wiring and see where that takes me...
