This weekend I moved my tank-less Amazon back into the garage so I can repair the inner front wings and the trunk. To do this most easily, I improvised a small underhood gas tank using a spare windshield fluid reservoir I had. Connected to the fuel pump and filled to 1/3rd with gas, this provided me with much more than enough range to start the car and move it. After moving, I simply took the reservoir out to remove the gas (the gas in the carburettor gets 1 week to evaporate...). This sure beats filling the carburettor several times and hurrying up until the car is in place!
The ease with which this car starts after sitting idle for several months never ceases to amaze me. A charged battery, some gas and a little patience is all it ever takes.
