How to tighten A/C Belt?? 200 1983

I can't seem to figure out how to tighten the belt that goes between the crankshaft and the A/C compressor on my 1983 240 sedan. Unlike the other accessories, I don't see a pivot / slide system. My useless Haynes manual says nothing specific. Any and all help is appreciated!
