Wiper travel 444-544

The wiper on the driver side has a much larger travel than it needs. It was slapping the bottom of the windshield molding (very annoying)so I repositioned the arm up a few notches. Now it travels off the windshield in front of the side view mirror.
Is there any way to adjust the travel to keep it within the bounds of the windshield? This is in Oregon so they get used more than any other item on the car.
