Some observations/questions:
Shocks on a stock 122: My experience is that KYB Whites are too stiff (had them on a VW once) and the Silver (GR2) KYB's are too soft (Too much body lean, I had them on my old 144). I have Bilstein (the high pressure expensive ones) on my 850 and they are kind of stiff (although the 850 is a stiff riding car), the car gets jittery over bumps. I have no experience with Koni, but the choice seems to be between the Koni Classic's or the high pressure Bilsteins for the 122. Any recommendations between the two or others?
Tires on stock (4 or 4.5 steel wheels): I bought a set of 165SR-15's for my P1800 and feel they are too narrow (not very good handling) for today's driving. When I went with new tires on my 122, I opted for some 185HR65-15's which I like better for handling/traction/width, but they may be too "low profile" (incorrect ride height/circumfrence?) and the ride is noticably more harsh. Neither is perfect. I wish they made a 185-70 series, but I couldn't find any. Is there any better tire size choice?
