Lucid,
I checked for vacuum leaks everywhere I could in the engine compartment. I used the propane like you suggested, and also carb cleaner because it is more than likely I would screw the propane technique all up. Anyway, nothing. Fuel injector seals are all fine. I did find some bad lines, but I snipped the excess and reconnected them. No difference. I'm really at a loss here. The only other thing I could think of would be replacing the AMM. There's no abnormal sounds except at idle, and that's after it warm. Seems to be coming from around the fuel rail/air bypass valve or something? There's a lot of vibration and the noise is in association with the fuel traveling through the fuel rail. When I place my hand on the fuel rail I can feel the fuel pulsating through there and the sound comes with the pulsation. Should I be looking at fuel pumps or are there check valves that would let the fuel pressure bleed down? I don't think that's the problem because it starts okay. Any pointers here would be greatly appreciated. This problem is becoming a tad annoying especially after replacing the ECT and air bypass to no prevail!
Thanks a lot,
Brett
