I have an idiot light in my '83 turbo that is a mystery to me. The picture looks like a coil spring, and the owner's manual makes no reference to this light. In the diagram of idiot lights, the manual doesn't even acknowledge its existence. Does anyone have an idea as to this light's function?

P.S. The light is not on, so whatever it monitors is OK. I'm just curious about its purpose.
