The only time I had bearing work done was on my 72 142...long gone... I have a 93 240 with around 90K...and "healthy" Ingrid(passed inspection finally)87 240 wagon... do you wait till you hear noises or is prevention work necessary? My 62 544 (long gone)never had bearings touched either... also, when and what oil,for the standard transmission change? thanks
