I have installed the new pump and I can hear it whirring as I try to start the car.
the engiine is now turning over as well as cranking,
I have confirmed that I have spark (center wire from distributor close to drivers side hood hinge shows spark when turning over - thank God!)
it is acting like a bad AMM - it will crank, turn over, run for a second then stop.
could I not yet have enough fuel pressure?
could my timing belt be broken?
any other options (I think the battery is getting low from several attempts to start it over the past few days?)?
thanks,
jack
